I think I found a bug. Since the new forms were introduced, I've noticed that the custom form module using the native 'form' field is unable to look up new forms. To my surprise, after retrieving the JSON from the old form field and comparing it with the new one, they are different. Moreover, the old one doesn't support the new forms.
