are there any plans to update the version of Vite that cms-react uses? Occasionally it causes problems (especially when trying to use new vite plugins)—for example, I can't install vite-plugin-static-copy

Yes, we do intend to upgrade to a newer version of vite. No timeline for this as of now but on our radar as well as react 19 support
