TL:DR - does anyone know how to trigger a workflow for when a value INCREASES only?
good morning + HAPPY FRIDAY - I was hoping someone with expert knowledge of workflows could help me with something
GOAL: upload file at the ticket level and auto email internal/ external ONLY if file quantity increases, NOT decreases
attached is a .png of the workflow and a PDF with my notes
WORKFLOW DESCRIPTION
TRIGGER: if file upload qty is changed and greater than 0
BRANCH: uses helper calculation field to compare current qty to previous
if decrease - create note "qty decreased" + clear previous qty
if increase - create note "qty increased" + email internal + begin 30 min delay
At end of 30 minutes - uses helper calculation again (safeguard in case staff needs to change a doc before it being sent to client)
if decrease - create note "submission canceled" + email internal + clear previous qty
if increase - set previous qty to current + email external
Please let me know if you have any ideas to improve this workflow - I've stress tested it a bit but am still unsure
